The backup bar supports the engagement of the drive Caterpillar Chain into the conveyor chain and is used in conjunction with an outboard roller Caterpillar chain.

This option is typically used on high chain pull conveyors. The assembly includes one backup bar, three backup bar studs and six backup bar nuts.
